In response of market demand for E-band broadband communication equipment, ELVA-1 offers 100Mbps Ethernet radios for 71-76GHz / 81-86 GHz and 92-95GHz called

New math brought an improved accuracy for 10mW 94GHz Industrial radar (Distance Sensor)

ELVA R&D reported that new math algorithms are implemented in 94GHz Millimeter Wave Industrial Distance Sensor (10mW version). the new math allowed to improve sensor accuracy that now achieved to 1cm on distances of about 100m.

During the test in ELVA lab, engineers achieved very precise measurements of about 0.1mm resolution ratio when used a flat screen as a target. But because there are no such ideal surfaces in real field conditions like hard-rock mines, the radar accuracy was coarsened to 1cm.

New low-noise version of 200mW 94GHz FMCW radar front-end

ELVA R&D runs a project that has to bring dramatically reduced noise level for 200mW version of 94GHz FMCW radar front-end. To achieve that, a number of approaches was tried. In this newsletter we report about one of them, that uses an additional phase shifter. In this case the fornt-end and its antenna has to be tuned as a whole unit.

The primary application for 200mW version of 94GHz FMCW radar front-end is traffic control applications, including airport ground radar systems.
