Solon, OH, USA ?December 02, 2004 - ElvaLink LLC, an
innovative supplier of millimeter wave wireless network
equipment, announced a successful field test of its
state-of-the-art 92-95 GHz 100Mbps radio links at StarNet
Wireless LLC in Michigan.
There were a series of tests of the point-to-point 100Mbps
link consisting of distances from 1 mile to 3 miles, during
fair weather and also during conditions of precipitation.
After conducting these field tests Mr. Jordan R. Dice,
President & CEO of StarNet Wireless LLC has issued a statement
of his successful results of testing. He also stated that in
his view this new 100Mbps link is very promising for market
conquest and he is looking forward to doing business with
ElvaLink LLC in the future.
ElvaLink PPC-100 is the only symmetric radio link that enables
100Mbps data speed either in downstream and return channel in
the E-band. Frequencies of 92-95 GHz are the newest section of
the spectrum made available by the FCC for commercial
wireless broadband communications since Nov.4, 2003. The
E-band is licensed for point-to-point links, which makes the
number of potential licenses in the same territory virtually
unlimited. The pencil-beam wireless E-band links can densely
cover a territory and even cross one another without
interference.
According to the new FCC rules for E-band, many network
operators can apply for frequency allocation licenses for the
same city or county or state. The simplified rules for E-band
application make this process much easier than before.
